Kimberly Daskap.
Operator. Account lead.
Director of Operations at Epitychia. Runs the engagement lifecycle from signed letter to live transactions, and stays on the line through the first 90 days of processing. The person every client speaks with weekly while their stack ramps.
Kimberly leads the operational layer of every Epitychia engagement — the part between the strategy call and the recurring monthly volume. She runs the onboarding sequence, manages the documentation flow with acquirers and banking partners, coordinates the underwriting cycle, monitors the first chargeback waves, and resolves the operational questions that come up during the first ninety days.
What I do
- Engagement coordination. Once Mark has scoped the engagement and Timmy has set the technical configuration, I run the weekly cadence — banking onboarding, EIN status, merchant account underwriting timeline, descriptor finalization, soft-launch volume caps.
- Client communication. The weekly status update, the questions about this week's settlement, the timing on the next document the acquirer needs — all routes through me. Operators get one point of contact for the whole engagement.
- Chargeback and dispute management. The first chargeback wave is normal; the way it is handled determines whether the account stays placed. I manage the dispute resolution flow with the acquirer, Ethoca and Verifi alert tooling, and the refund-policy tuning that keeps chargeback ratios below the thresholds that matter.
- Settlement reconciliation. Each cross-border settlement carries the documentation the operator's home banking compliance expects. I make sure that documentation is generated correctly, sent with the wire, and matches the underlying US transaction set.
Background
Years of payments-operations experience in merchant onboarding, acquirer coordination, and high-touch client engagement. The job is part project management, part compliance, part client therapist — and the operators who stay with Epitychia for years stay because the operational layer doesn't break under load.
How I write
My Insights pieces are the operational playbooks — what to do when a Stripe account closes, how to handle a chargeback wave, what the actual workflow looks like for a K-beauty brand running US returns at scale. Strategic pieces come from Mark; technical implementation from Timmy.
