Timmy Bare.
Operator. Builder.
Founder and principal at Epitychia. Two decades in payments — as an ISO, a consultant, and the builder behind platforms including AmalPay and Automated Interest.
Timmy founded Epitychia to do payments the way he wished it had been done for him — transparently priced, technically rigorous, and built by operators who actually ship the work they recommend. The firm sits at the intersection of three businesses: ISO services, advisory consulting, and product development.
Background
Two decades inside the payments rails. Direct processor relationships across the merchant services and high-risk ecosystems. Hands-on experience structuring deals on every layer of the stack — interchange, scheme posture, MOR positioning, multi-acquirer routing, FX strategy, embedded finance.

What I have built
- AmalPay — payments platform conceived, designed, engineered, and scaled. Live in production.
- Automated Interest — fintech product built end-to-end. Architected the interchange optimization model and the platform around it.
- Epitychia Consulting — the firm itself, structured as an ISO + consultancy + product studio.
How I write
I write the Insights notes from inside the engagements — not from theory. Field observations from interchange audits, processor placements, and product builds, written so an operator can actually use them. New piece roughly monthly.
